The Spanish Basketball Federation and Eurofins Megalab have reached an agreement by which the leading clinical analysis company becomes the event supplier for the EuroBasket 2021, to be held in Valencia from the 17th to the 27th of June.
Eurofins Megalab will be the official laboratory of the Women’s EuroBasket 2021, and will be in charge of performing all of the COVID testing for the competition at the Valencia headquarters, both for participating teams as well as for organisation staff and staff associated with the event.
The leading clinical analysis company, with over 100 laboratories throughout Spain, will become the event supplier for one of the most important sports events to be organised in Spain this year.
The Women’s EuroBasket 2021 will be held from the 17th to the 27th June in Valencia and in the French city of Strasbourg. Spain participates in this competition after achieving the gold medal in the last two editions, in 2017 and 2019.
Eurofins Megalab, in its continuous search for excellence and optimised efficiency in its daily activities, was rewarded for its efforts in 1997 obtaining the UNE-EN ISO 9001 certificate. In 2019 it obtained UNE-EN ISO 45001 certification for Health and Safety at Work and in 2021 it obtained UNE-EN ISO 15189 certification for the detection of SARS-CoV-2 RNA by PCR.
